Hollywood showreel SFX/Makeup for Lunar Wolf Productions
Here is a sneak peak of some still shots that were taken of my makeup/SFX done on set with Lunar Wolf Productions. These amazing talents had so much to offer along with their beautiful personalities, I wish it was forever! I walked through Paddington in the pouring rain with no idea where I was heading, that alone made an eventful experience with no umbrella or map. When I reached the final destination I was greeted with a heater and open arms from strangers who are now great friends. By the end of the day it was hugs, kisses, phone number exchanges and pinky promises for future endeavors.
These girls were instantly glamorous in their 1950's costumes, pink cheeks, pink dresses, red lips and bold eyes - they looked stunning. This kind of makeup was so enjoyable, time periods always put you in a special setting with particular elements that are so foreign yet so common in our fashion/ makeup trends these days. A great way to add a little depth to my montage.
Practicing for the re-creation of a scene from Mona Lisa Smile, American accents were bellowing out down the hall while we were doing hair and makeup. We all joined in the character play and ended up in hysterical laughter due to my unsuccessful attempt at putting on an accent - my excuse was that I was still in 'Murder mode' from doing the SFX from the previous scene.
An Outstanding day.

Dreams in Dresses.
I call her my “Little Floral Dress”. Alike to the “Little Black Dress”, the LFD is a garment that every lady should possess, enjoy more than once and consider essential to a complete wardrobe. I spotted her amongst many other beautiful garments in a quaint, little boutique in Pitt Street, Sydney. As soon as I set my eyes on this LFD I knew I had to own it. Within minutes she was in my hot little hands and I was smiling ear to ear; my expression said it all.
Without a doubt, this “Little Floral Dress” has since become “my muse” of all dresses, “a staple”, a “rule of fashion” you might say. It is flirtatious, it is fun, it is pretty, it flows, it is versatile, it is everything and more than a lady needs in her collection.
Similar to the LBD; the LFD can be worn in copious forms. She can be flaunted with layer upon layer or ideally simply on her own.
The LFD’s increasing ubiquity is such that if not already, it will be sought after by women all over the globe.

Time is on our side.
I had a blind date with a pretty girl. She told me that her name was Indi and that she ran away from home to join the circus. We sat in front of my home made camp fire drinking hot milo and playing with outfits. We spoke endlessly about fashion, life and makeup - the three things Letters to Laurie stands for. She is my true love.

the simple things that i love.

| On a serious note. |
Words of Truth. I read this and had to share it. Anyone can get through anytime of hardship with if not all but one of these things. There is nothing like a solid workout to get your mind back on track, a solid cry to let all the tears sting your face until you have no more tears left to cry or, my favourite, a dive into the ocean. For that split second nothing else in the world matters, your whole body is being cuddled by the cold yet comforting water, your mind is being pushed into a whole new area and it feels like a new life. Byron Bay and Shoal Bay have provided me with this on more than one occasion. Simple JOYS of sisterhood. Need I say more. What a life! A little piece of us. Three years ago a mixture of six of mothers, sisters, aunties, daughters and best friends took a little escape to Thailand. The luscious sands of Patong Beach crinkled between their toes while the essence of the waves sung them lullabies after many days of hard shopping. Once the sun had said goodnight, they carried on up to their favourite place for a feast, typically, The Aussie Bar. They engraved their names into the thin wood that held the tiny building together. Creating a little piece of home with their marks in tact, they instantly felt comfortable and connected with the big wide world. Leaving a little mark of who you are on something much bigger than you can have a very soulful impact. Don’t be afraid. |
Makeup Artist. Milan. London. New York. France. Fashion Week. Dream. Just another aspect of life I would love to accomplish. |
I could not help but take a snap of these! I was out at King Street Hotel with my beautiful friends and stumbled across these three little pieces on our crazy night out. I don't know who their owners are or where they are from, but they are so cute I could not help myself.

when we were young.
Being young is a feeling of freedom. Freedom is a power to think what one wants.
What one wants is to to be forever young.
